Meet Charlie Baileygates, a 17-year veteran of the Rhode Island police force. Charlie is mild-mannered, hard-working, always helpful, and a devoted and loving father to three sons. Unfortunately, Charlie has Split Personality Disorder, and when he runs out of his medication … Meet Hank Baileygates (Jim Carrey), Charlie’s hyper-aggressive alter-ego. Hank’s got a filthy mouth, drinks like a fish, breaks skulls and loves dirty, dirty sex.

Me, Myself & Irene is the type of film that pulls you in with it’s unique blend of goofy and crude humor. I’ve checked out reviews on this one, and the amount of hate it gets is unjustified. Is it perfect no. That said Me, Myself & Irene does its job and presents a film that knows its out of control and doesn’t care how far it will go. I love the look that Rhode Island brings, the bright colors and small town vibe for Carrey’s alter-ego, Hank, makes for a few laughs that never seems to get old. Renée Zellweger, Anthony Anderson, Robert Forster, Christ Cooper and Richard Jenkins round out a hypnotizing film.
